COVID GUIDELINES ā UPDATE
November 16, 2022
The definition of close contact has been refined to clarify exposures in large facilities (gyms, auditoriums, theaters, warehouses, etc.). In those spaces larger than 400,000 cubic feet, a close contact is someone who is within 6 feet of a person with COVID 19, during their contagious period for a cumulative time of 15 minutes or longer in a 24-hour period.
In smaller enclosed spaces less than 400,000 cubic feet (classrooms, offices, airplanes, etc.), the definition remains the same as previously. Those persons sharing indoor space for a cumulative time of 15 minutes or longer, during a 24- hour period are considered exposed.
CAL/OSHA has adopted this definition as well and has a calculator on their website to determine cubic feet https://www.dir.ca.gov/dosh/coronavirus/COVID19FAQs.html#definitions
The guidelines for testing after exposure have also changed slightly. If a person has tested positive for COVID 19 in the past 30 days, they do not need to test in 3 to 5 days unless they are having symptoms. Previously the timeline was 90 days. This change is for the general public and is the guidance followed in K-12 schools for students.

Great news! We have hired a bus driver and our bus runs will resume on December 1st. We appreciate your patience while we filled this important position.

Good morning MSUSD Families. We are having regular school hours today. Bundle up and be safe! See you soon!
