We are announcing a common K-8 hybrid schedule that will take effect on October 12 that allows distance learning students to stay with their current teachers. We will NOT be running a K-5 am/pm schedule as previously announced. Teachers will be reaching out to all families in the coming days with more information and to ask questions to help them finalize their plans. School principals will post school-specific schedules and plans shortly. We appreciate all of the feedback we have received, and we encourage you to stay engaged with us as we partner with you to educate our students. We are releasing two documents per school site that are designed to answer the many questions you must have about what it will look like moving to a hybrid model on October 12. During the September 22 board meeting, the board voted to move to Step 3 of our 4-step reopening plan on October 12. This means that on October 12, we will pivot to hybrid schedules with all students participating in a mixture of face-to-face, on-campus instruction and distance learning. Families will also have the option to continue participating solely in distance learning with no face-to-face, on-campus instruction. We will continue to communicate information to our families about the details of this move, but we wanted to get this initial information out to families so you can set the date on your calendars. We know that you need a wealth of information as soon as possible to plan effectively on your end, and we are working hard to provide it.
