Social Emotional Learning is the process of developing skills and traits to understand and manage emotions, build relationships, and make responsible decisions. It's an important part of success in school, work, and life and something our students work on weekly with our school counselor.
For March the SEL character trait is: Courage!
What Does Courage Really Mean?
Courage isn’t just about being fearless—it’s about taking action even when you feel afraid. It’s standing up for what’s right, trying something new, or speaking up when it matters. Courage can be as big as standing in front of a crowd (like these MSE students did when they performed the Barn Dance)or as small as raising your hand in class. It’s choosing kindness over silence, curiosity over doubt, and resilience over giving up. True courage isn’t about never feeling afraid—it’s about pushing forward despite the fear!
Stay tuned for the Cub of the Month announcement during our March 11th Board Meeting @ 7 PM in RM U-20 @ Sisson as we honor our 2nd-8th grade students for their displays of courage!
