Parents and Students at MSE and Sisson: School CAFE (Culinary Action For Education), a small and local nonprofit whose mission is to provide our community with access to healthy and tasty food has added a new program; we are now offering grants to teachers, students, and parents for projects that promote our goals regarding healthy eating. Our intention includes providing the young generations of tomorrow with the knowledge and tools to nourish their growing bodies and minds. If you or your children have an idea for a project that aligns with our mission we would love to have you apply for a grant. We request your enthusiastic support so that we may support you! Exciting news! We were awarded a grant for Music, Art, and Instructional Materials in the amount of $274,000! Teachers will provide input to their administration, and a plan for these funds will be bought to the board for approval in December/January where you can also provide feedback.

When making your plans for next week, don’t forget about our Parent Night in the Sisson Gym on Tuesday, 10/18, from 6-7. Pizza will be served. You won’t want to miss this engaging and charismatic speaker!

Let’s celebrate the first day of fall tomorrow (Thursday)! Staff will be out front at both sites handing out a small cup of warm apple cider. MSE practiced a safety drill today. The staff all wore bright pink shirts so that students can easily identify a safe adult. Mr. Belzer and staff conducted an outstanding drill.
