Social Emotional Learning is the process of developing skills and traits to understand and manage emotions, build relationships, and make responsible decisions. It's an important part of success in school, work, and life and something our students work on weekly with our school counselor.
For March the SEL character trait is: Courage!
Courage isnāt just about being fearlessāitās about taking action even when you feel afraid. Itās standing up for whatās right, trying something new, or speaking up when it matters. Courage can be as big as standing in front of a crowd (like these MSE students did when they performed the Barn Dance)or as small as raising your hand in class. Itās choosing kindness over silence, curiosity over doubt, and resilience over giving up. True courage isnāt about never feeling afraidāitās about pushing forward despite the fear!
At our Board Meeting we honored our 2nd-8th grade students for their displays of courage! Congratulations to our cubs of the month!
