This letter is to all families in our learning community. We are doing our best to maintain in-person learning, and you can help. 7A Quarantine… I just wanted to clarify some confusion regarding 7A Mrs. Anderson’s class under quarantine. Mrs. Anderson‘s class is the ONLY 7th grade class that is under quarantine. 7A students can return to school on Monday, September 13. SISSON will contact parents regarding a short term independent study packet that will be ready for pick up tomorrow, September 7. Students that have been vaccinated need to bring their vaccination card to Holly at the Sisson office before they can attend class, tomorrow, September 7. Students that are symptom-free and interested in receiving a Covid test, can test six days after the infected person started having symptoms and returned on the 8th day, Friday, September 10. Otherwise everybody will return on Monday, September 13. Mr. Schmidt’s class will return to school tomorrow, Tuesday, September 7, like normal. Please contact Holly at the SISSON office if you have any questions.

For those families who are not comfortable with sending your children back to full in-person learning, we offer an independent study option. The Shasta Cascade Health Centers are offering free sports physicals tomorrow, July 30, at their Mt. Shasta location from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please call 530-926-4528 or text 530-412-5669 to schedule your appointment. If your child plans to participate in 7th and 8th grade co-ed volleyball, 5th-8th grade co-ed cross country, 5th-8th grade co-ed track, 7th and 8th grade co-ed cheerleading, 7th and 8th grade girl's basketball or 7th and 8th grade boy's basketball, they will need a physical to be on the team. Physicals are good for one year so athletes that competed in track last Spring, your child's physical is probably good until Spring 2022.
